Ruby and Pink Tourmaline – One of a Kind

This one-of-a-kind spinning necklace is built around a substantial sterling silver bead that moves freely within its open frame.

At approximately 18.6 grams, the pendant has real weight and balance. When the central bead is spun it turns effortlessly, continuing to move smoothly because of the weight of the silver.

On one side of the bead, the silhouettes of a cat and a dog are clearly visible. They are polished against a soft matte background, creating a gentle contrast that brings the two figures to life.

Above the spinning bead sit two small gemstones set on opposite sides of the pendant. One side holds a 2 mm pink ruby, the other a 2 mm deep pink tourmaline, giving the necklace a subtle shift of colour depending on which side you wear facing forward.

The pendant is suspended from a 21-inch chunky sterling silver belcher chain with 3 mm links, connected with a hinged silver connector that allows the pendant to be removed or styled on another chain if desired.

Handmade in my Newquay workshop and hallmarked by the London Assay Office, this necklace is designed to be worn and handled — a tactile piece with movement, weight and presence.
