Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can I request a custom design?

Yes - I love creating meaningful, personal pieces that capture your story.
Whether it’s inspired by the ocean, a special memory, or a gemstone that speaks to you, I’ll bring your vision to life in the Booblinka style.

Every bespoke journey begins with a conversation - I’ll guide you through materials, design, and timeframes with care.
Please note that bespoke designs are non-refundable due to their personalised nature.

2. How do I care for my Booblinka Jewellery?

Each piece is handcrafted with love and deserves a little care in return.

  • Polish gently with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

  • Avoid perfumes, lotions, and hand sanitisers.

  • Store your jewellery in a dry, cool place - ideally in its box or a sealed pouch.

  • Remove it before swimming, showering, or exercising.

Every order includes care instructions, and you can always contact me if you’re unsure how to look after a specific piece.

3. What is your warranty policy?

Every Booblinka piece is handcrafted with great care, and I want you to enjoy it for years to come.

I offer a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering any manufacturing faults such as issues with soldering, stone settings, or findings.

This warranty does not cover accidental damage, general wear and tear, or exposure to chemicals or unsuitable environments.

After the warranty period, or for accidental damage, I’m happy to offer repairs or professional cleaning for a small service fee.

4. How do I find my ring size?

The most accurate way is to visit a local jeweller - they’ll measure your finger professionally in just a minute.

If you prefer to measure at home:

Option 1: Measure a ring that fits you

  • Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the finger you’ll wear your new ring on.

  • Measure the inside diameter (straight across the centre, inner edge to inner edge) using a ruler or calliper.

  • Measure in millimetres (mm). Even half a millimetre makes a difference.

    • As a guide:

      • 16 mm = UK size L

      • 17 mm = UK size N

      • 18 mm = UK size P

  • Send me your measurement, and I’ll match it to the correct UK size.

Option 2: Measure your finger with paper or string

  • Wrap a strip of paper or string around your finger (snug but not tight).

  • Mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres - most fingers fall between 50–65 mm.

  • Send me your measurement and I’ll convert it for you.

Option 3: Use a ring sizing app

Free apps like Ring Sizer can help you measure an existing ring using your phone.

💡 Tips:

  • Measure at the end of the day when your fingers are warm.

  • Avoid measuring right after exercise or when your hands are cold.

  • For wide rings (8 mm or more), go half a size up for comfort.

If you’re unsure, send me your measurements or a photo — I’ll happily help before you order.

5. What happens if I measure my ring size wrong and need a resize?

Rings purchased from Booblinka Jewellery can be resized depending on the design and materials.

It’s your responsibility to provide the correct size before ordering, but if it needs adjusting:

  • I can resize most rings for a small fee, depending on the metal and how many sizes are required.

  • Some intricate settings or fragile designs may need to be remade instead.

Please contact me if you need resizing - I’ll always advise honestly before making any changes.

6. What happens if I change my mind after trying the piece on?

Because every Booblinka piece is handcrafted with care and often made to order, I can’t offer refunds or exchanges simply because you’ve changed your mind after trying it on.

Please take your time choosing - I’m always happy to send additional photos or videos before you buy.

Please note:

  • Custom-made and bespoke pieces are non-refundable.

  • Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

For more details, please see my Shipping & Returns Policy.

7. Can you recreate a piece I’ve seen elsewhere?

I don’t copy other designers’ work, and I kindly ask that you don’t request it.

If something inspires you - a colour, texture, or shape - please share it with me.
We can use that inspiration to create something completely unique, in the signature Booblinka style.

8. Can you describe the materials used in your jewellery?

I work with high-quality, genuine, and ethically sourced materials:

  • Sterling silver and solid gold (9ct–18ct)

  • Ethically sourced Ocean Diamonds

  • Blue topaz and other precious gemstones

  • Authentic sea glass, collected from the Cornish coast and other beautiful beaches around the world, including England.

Every piece of sea glass I use is genuine and ocean-tumbled, chosen for its shape, rare colour, and character - no two are ever the same.

9. Do you offer gift packaging?

Yes - every order arrives beautifully packaged in a Booblinka Jewellery box, wrapped in tissue with a polishing cloth.

If your piece is a gift, I can include a handwritten note - just leave your message at checkout.

10. How long will my order take to arrive?

Ready-to-ship pieces are posted within 1–3 working days using Royal Mail Special Delivery - tracked, insured, and signed for.

Made-to-order and bespoke designs take longer, as each one is crafted individually by hand. Timelines vary depending on the design, materials, and hallmarking process.

If you have a specific date in mind (like a birthday or wedding), please let me know when ordering - I’ll always do my best to work around it.

11. Do you ship internationally?

Yes - I currently ship to the UK, USA, and Australia.

If you’re based elsewhere, please get in touch before ordering. I’m happy to discuss international delivery options, but any customs charges, import taxes, or courier fees will be the customer’s responsibility.

All orders are sent using tracked, insured delivery, and you’ll receive tracking information once your jewellery is on its way.

12. Are your prices inclusive of VAT?

No - I’m not VAT-registered, so my prices don’t include VAT.
The amount you see on the product page is the final price you pay, with no added VAT or hidden costs.

13. What should I do if my jewellery needs repair or cleaning?

Jewellery can last a lifetime with the right care.
If your piece ever needs a clean, polish, or small repair, I’m happy to help.

Send me a message with a short description and a photo - I’ll assess it and let you know the best option.
Professional cleaning and repairs are available for a small service fee.
