This ready-to-ship piece features a 9mm Swiss Blue Topaz sphere held within a solid 9ct yellow gold cage, paired with an oxidised sterling silver paperclip chain finished in black rhodium.
Part of my Drop of the Ocean collection, this design captures the depth and movement of water — with a stronger contrast between warm gold and darkened silver.
The polished topaz sphere sits securely inside the gold cage, allowing light to pass through the stone from every angle.
The Contrast
The black rhodium silver chain shifts the character of the pendant completely.
The darkened finish makes the gold cage and blue topaz stand out more clearly, creating depth and definition. It feels modern, slightly bolder, and more architectural than the classic all-gold version.
The hinged silver connector allows you to remove the pendant easily and swap it onto another chain if you wish.
